As the Lion and Lioness decided what to do with the small fox, their three young cubs wandered over after hearing the ruckus at the local watering hole. The small cubs were very curious and gathered around to see what was going on with the little fox.
As the cubs looked at each other, Dyer knew that the whole group thought it was time for dinner. But instead of letting her family partake of a meal, she protectively hovered around the small injured fox. The photographer could only guess that the lionesses motherly instinct had kicked-in.
